Men s Indoor Track & Field: Westminster SAAC Honors Thomas as Titan Athlete of the WeekPublished by
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected men's track & field senior Anthony Thomas (New Castle, Pa./Union) as its Titan Athlete of the Week. Thomas won the long jump at Friday's Youngstown State University College Invitiational with a jump of 23 feet, 3.50 inches, improving upon his own school record in the event. His previous school mark (22-03) was established at last season's conference championships, which were also held at YSU's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS). He was also named the PAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week. Westminster will next compete in the two-day SPIRE Midwest Open in Geneva, Ohio, starting on Friday, January 30.
