Men s Cross Country: Titans Compete at Dickinson InvitationalPublished by
CARLISLE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's cross country team competed in the Dickinson College Invitational on Saturday. The Titans placed 24th (298 points) out 35 teams in the 4K event and 24th (286 points) out of 36 teams in the 8K. In the 4K, Titan sophomore John-Scott Somora (Grove City, PA / Grove City) finished 94th out 260 runners with a time of 13:27.22. Also competing for Westminster were junior Chase Whelan (Hermitage, PA) (14:08.92), freshman Josh McFall (New Castle, PA) (14:42.92), and junior Anthony Yasko (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood) (15:52.35). In the 8K, sophomore Matt Slagle (Bruin, PA / Karns City) led Westminster as he placed 93rd out of 233 participants with a time of 28:54.26. Freshman Trevor Arrigoni (Canonsburg, PA) (29:44.20) and sophomore Neil Christopher (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood) (30:36.06) also competed in the 8K. The Titans will next compete Saturday, Oct. 11, when they travel to Carnegie Mellon. About Westminster College...
